Historically, trades were handed down in families
from father to son; Bennetts' family business is no different.
Pat Bennett, a fourth generation monumental sculptor, started
his business in Kells in 1958 and, over 52 years later, his sons,
Mark and Harold, continue the trade.
Harold, who specialises in new headstones or
the replacement of old ones, carries a large selection in his
showroom at Maudlin Street, Kells. He sources materials from all
over the world and can actually manufacture headstones, unlike
many of his competitors.
Customers are given the choice of having a headstone from stock,
having one designed to their own specifications or viewing the
process from start to finish at our manufacturing premises in
Kells Business Park. We like to be competitive on price, so we
supply headstones at affordable prices but without compromising
the quality of work. All our staff are fully qualified and have
been with us for long time.

A full after-sales service is provided by Mark,
a qualified monumental sculptor with over 30 years experience
in the trade. Mark specialises in the cleaning and restoration
of monuments, head-stones, and kerb surrounds. If old memorials
become loose on their foundations or are broken down, he re-erects
them on new foundations and restores them to the highest possible
standards. Mark also inscribes in all colours; where gold inscriptions
are required, he only uses the finest quality gold leaf. Customers
receive personal attention and their work is executed or overseen
by him at all times.
